Shall I Compare Her

Sandrine Sonnet Cycle - Sonnet XVIII - Parody William Shakespeare

Shall I compare her...

Shall I compare her to a summer’s day?
A thousand times more sweet she seems to me!
Nor may Time’s winds – (which darling buds of May
Do shake) – unsettle love’s perennity.
Restrained the eye of heaven sometimes seems,
It often sends a drought, or shines too hot,
No permanence is possible. Like dreams
Each season soon declines, returning not.
Vain are Time’s threats when, lacking base designs,
A poet frames her praises in fair verse,
Imprinting for the future lyric lines
Lending life when all else hearse rehearse.
Life glories her as long as Man draws breath,
As Never tasting shadow land of Death ...

I'm Gone

A long time ago
When he would go away
The trees would sway of happiness.
He made me feel worthless.
He'd go and come
From home.
Came back and I was gone,
I was tired of waiting and
Taking in the bad. Now I'm gone
And live happily ever after.

Waiting

I lie in silence,
waiting to be loved
by that one that I loved.

My Life After You Left

I knew you would break my heart
from the day we broke apart.
You wanted nothing to do with this littleboythe four year old named Troy.
There are times i see you walking the street
when I pass by you look downto your feet.
You only come to me when you want some money
calling me names like baby, boo and, honey.
at night I lay down in my bed and cry whishing I would just curl up and die.
I want you back so very bad being with out you makes me feel so sad.
But I have to admit I am doing so good Iam doing all the things I said I never would.
I found me a new man who has entered into my life and today he asked me to be his wife
Of course I said yes and wish you the best.
Now I must give back the pearl because I am no longer your girl.

Lucky Love

Our love,
Is like a dove,
Lucky love a four leaf clover,
And more over,
It takes time to understand,
Especially where we stand.

SweetTart

Our love is sour,
Like the tangy candy of a SWEETTART.
It’s sweet but turns sour at the end, just
Before you finish it.

Sometimes it changes colors.
From pink to orange,
From to blue to green,
From red to yellow
And even black.

You chew
And swallow or let it sit
And dissolve. Just one
More and you could
Change the color in your mouth. From pink
To orange,
From blue to green,
From red to yellow
And back to pink.
